Tell us a bit about yourself
Before diving into the world of marketing, I dreamed of becoming a pilot. However, my passion for solving problems proved stronger than my desire to soar the skies. So, at 19, I traded the cockpit for marketing campaigns and started my journey in the industry.
My first job was quite unique — I worked in general aviation with small two-seater planes. From managing penthouse showrooms to launching PR campaigns in top industry magazines like the Royal Aeronautical Society of the UK, the start of my career was anything but ordinary.
To formalise my knowledge, I went to Aston University. While studying, I didn’t just stick to the books. I took on freelance gigs, ran Facebook ads, designed assets, and created websites for various companies. This hands-on experience was invaluable and laid a solid foundation for my career.
In my early career, I had the opportunity to collaborate with web designers, photographers, and journalists. These experiences were incredibly useful and have become key aspects of what we do at Republic Marketing.
You’re Co-Founder of Republic Marketing. How did it all start?
I’ve been in the marketing industry for over a decade now. After gaining experience at various companies, from multinationals to start-ups, I felt a strong urge to create something of my own. That’s when I co-founded my digital marketing agency. Our ethos is straightforward: improve, solve, create, and enjoy while we’re at it.
What’s your favourite aspect of running a marketing agency?
For me, it’s the people and the experiences. Every new project is exciting to take on and brings fresh challenges that push us to innovate and excel.
We’ve worked hard to cultivate an environment where everyone feels valued and motivated. Meeting amazing entrepreneurs regularly, hearing their stories, and helping bring their ideas to life is incredibly rewarding. It’s fulfilling to see their visions turn into successful ventures.
Have you always wanted to be in marketing?
Not exactly. As I said, since being a teenager, I dreamed of becoming a pilot. However, at 19, I discovered my passion for marketing and never looked back. I found a whole new level of satisfaction in improving things, solving problems, and unleashing my creativity. My journey has taken me from freelancing during university to co-founding a successful agency, and I wouldn’t change a thing.
What do enjoy doing outside of work?
I love travelling and spending time in nature to unwind. Whether it’s hiking through a forest or exploring new landscapes, being outdoors helps me recharge. Quality time with my family is also very important to me. These moments help keep me grounded and inspired.
