Rove Legal is a boutique immigration law firm based in London. Known for personalised guidance and expertise in UK immigration laws, Rove Legal serves both private individuals and corporate clients. Committed to simplifying complex immigration processes, Rove Legal aimed to break barriers with a revolutionary eLearning platform.
About the project
Rove Legal is launching the UK’s first dedicated eLearning platform for corporate and personal immigration to help clients navigate complex processes. It supports corporate clients, especially HR departments, in ensuring compliance with changing Home Office regulations and offers individuals step-by-step guides, reducing the need for expensive legal advice.
With increased scrutiny in 2024 leading to more sponsor licence revocations and confusion among personal applicants due to outdated information, Rove Legal’s platform provides direct access to insights from a Legal 500 firm through engaging, interactive courses.
Integrated Tutor LMS
and WordPress Frontend
We chose Tutor LMS which allows robust tracking of progress, assessments, and personalised learning paths.
The marketing frontend was built on WordPress, integrating seamlessly with Tutor LMS.
This combination provides Rove Legal the flexibility to manage learning content and promotional campaigns effortlessly, without any compromise in both design and functionality.
Dynamic Conditional View
the course landing page offers a dynamic experience to users. For users who have already purchased the course, the purchase options are removed and instead the learner’s progress and course access is visible. Enabling easy access for students to continue their course. This personalised approach enhances user satisfaction and retention by reducing unnecessary steps and keeping learners focused on their journey.
We implemented a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to enhance speed and accessibility of the platform, regardless of the user’s geographical location and internet speed. The CDN ensures quick load times crucial for a platform with a diverse user base.
New users can preview select course content directly in the LMS environment before purchasing, which helps them gauge the value and quality of the course while protecting premium content.

Custom Checkout
and Upsell Features
We developed a custom checkout page with multiple advanced features that optimise the purchasing experience. Secure password parameters were implemented in line with cybersecurity best practices, ensuring user data remains safe.
One notable feature is the upselling module, which showcases special discounts only at the checkout stage—a strategic move designed to promote higher average order values (AOV) and give a sense of urgency. Partial entry recording retains data to act as an abandoned checkout for new users, allowing Rove Legal to use discounts and other incentives to encourage users to complete their purchases, improving overall completion rates.
User Dashboard for
Centralised Management
The platform includes an intuitive student dashboard where learners can view all their purchased courses and track progress in one convenient location. The dashboard also allows users to manage their profiles—updating pictures, changing personal details, or raising support tickets . All profile information is seamlessly integrated with the invoicing system, removing the need for any manual data entry and thereby reducing the potential for errors.

Scalability in Mind
This platform was built to scale with future needs, allowing for the addition of new features such as gamification, quizzes, certification generation, and automation using ActiveCampaign as the CRM module.
Password policies were designed following cybersecurity best practices to provide optimal protection, which gives users additional confidence when using the platform.
Students can download invoices directly from the invoice tab which enhances the user experience and reduce administrative burdens.
Focused Mode Learning
The course pages are designed in ‘focused mode’ to offer an immersive learning environment free of distractions. Key elements, such as the progress bar, provide visual motivation as users move through course content, promoting a sense of achievement and guiding learners on what’s next. Additional resources like downloadable notes and presentation slides are included to deepen the learning experience.
Engaging Interaction:
Notes, Q&A, and Gamification
Instructors have the ability to add course notes, supplementary materials, and a custom Q&A section where learners can ask questions (subject to instructor approval). This feature creates an interactive space, encouraging learners to clarify doubts and gain further insight directly from subject matter experts. This personal touch elevates the platform beyond a static learning tool, making it a living, breathing environment for growth.
Combating Password Sharing
and Content Protection
To maintain the integrity of the learning experience and prevent unauthorised access, several security measures were put in place. Hotlink protection ensures that course videos cannot be linked elsewhere, while advanced streaming security features prevent screen recording and downloading attempts. This level of security helps protect Rove Legal’s intellectual property while ensuring that only registered users can access the valuable content.
