Increasing Engagement & Followers of a Dental Practice

Client Background

Our client is an award-winning dental practice who offer high-end dental treatments such as cosmetic dental procedures, braces, and general dentistry. Our Social Media Consultant worked with this client to help build their social presence, improve the quality of their creative assets, and experiment with influencer marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness.

The Problem

The client needed a cost-efficient way to reach their social media marketing goals. In addition to this, the company’s Instagram account was struggling with a low engagement rate (ER), a low number of conversions, and very few enquiries being made through direct messages (DMs).

Due to the practice being one of the most well-known and busiest in the West Midlands, the senior staff have little time to invest in digital asset creation and management, making long-term planning even harder. In our initial audit, we also noticed a lack of creative direction. However, despite all this, we quickly came up with a solution which would cater to their needs and achieve great results in a short period of time.

Our Solution

Our first objective was to develop a comprehensive social media strategy, and based on this we implemented our plan of action. After a series of interviews, we identified various goals and objectives for their marketing, and priorities which would help move their business forward.

In today’s saturated social media landscape, having good quality alone unfortunately isn’t enough. You also need a plan regarding how you will engage with your community, and ensure that you maintain dialogue with your audience.

Therefore, in order to improve conversion and engagement rates, we created engaging content to help spark conversation, asked followers questions and opinions, and leveraged all of Instagram’s features to maximise the account’s reach.

A strong and engaging Post, Reel, or Story is much more likely to get noticed if it is consistent with the latest trends, which involve particular editing, music, and/or visual effects. Therefore, after researching competitors’ content, we provided the practice with tips on how to professionally shoot their photos, and how to effectively communicate the relevant information to their audience. We also used software packages such as Adobe Lightroom to further enhance images and visual effects.

In order to increase the account’s reachability, we incorporated Reels, Instagram’s fastest-growing feature, into the practice’s marketing strategy. This allowed us to not only improve the overall engagement, but also educate and inform the audience using engaging content.

Trends come and go faster than business owners can react to them. Within a month of implementing our new strategies, we achieved an incredible increase of 224% in the account’s reachability, an 70% increase in engagement rate, and a 3% increase in the number of followers. Engagement is often more important than simply growing numbers of followers, and that’s why having a small but active community is more likely to lead to long-term success compared to having a large number of followers with poor engagement.

Between January and March 2022, we managed to deliver a 55% increase in engagement rate, as well as a 15% increase in the number of followers.

Finally, we saw a healthy increase of 15% in the number of leads coming through social media. The practice also noticed many new clients referring to images and videos they had seen on social media, and said that these were a deciding factor when choosing which practice to go to.
